Once again the Spirit of God has His way,
for the life of me I went to bed
earlier, layed in bed and couldn’t sleep,
until I realized He was filling my
mind and spirit with His words. It started with prayer as always,
when I’m awake,it progressed to my questioning Him.
“Lord, I’ve often wondered about holiness and all the holy Qualities
you wish us to learn while here on earth before entering
heaven,share them with me please? He started
and I knew I was in for a long explanation.
So I settled down and listened,as wide awake as I was,
with Christmas Carols playing ever so muffled from my
bedside clock radio.
He began with,”have you ever wondered about salvation?”,
I answered Him ,yes; lord I have many times,
and I think that was your doing!” Jesus’s purpose in decending and
ascending to earth first and back to heaven secondly,
was to show His children that transformation could be accomplished,
if His child prepared him/herself for their spiritual changes
in their Walk with Him! God knew His childrens biggest obstacle
would be in yielding their inner selfishness over to His Jesus,
surrendering the self to the Son of God,with their whole heart,
mind,and soul.
God understood that our biggest and most troublesome
battles would be with ourselves in relenquishing your selfishness.
My child, selfishness is nothing but “Sin”,they are synonomous.
Have you ever seen a war between only one adversary? “no” I said.
He then said,there could be no wars with only one antagonist it would
be fruitless to even think of such a situation.
If there were never two antagonists there would never be any wars.
With no wars, mankind could live in peace and devote themselves
to humanitarian pursuits,and a great healing would take place.
The Father knew this could never come about,with this human body
which is affected by emotions,thought,and selfishness.
I asked the Spirit,about the fringe benefits of what holiness brings?
He mentioned Holiness is a long time in perfecting in Gods children,
Many do not know that they receive their first touch of Holiness
at the time of Salvation.It is a process of slow growth within Gods
children.
The Spirit is a gentleman,He will not fill any christian
with more of our Jesus,until we make room for more of Him to come into us.
We do this by devoting our whole being to wanting more of Jesus within.
Just like Salvation,We have to yield our very being to the Spirit of God,
He helps us put our faith into action. I then asked Him like the Word says,
”God gives us all the same measure of Faith,It is what you do with it
that gives you greater insight and depth in your walk with Jesus.
Actually half of that is Gods word, the latter half was mine.
After all Gods children cannot be slack in interpreting His word,
in order to spiritually grow more.
He confirmed that like our Faith, we are all given the same measure
of it, well holiness is something which is accumulated over time
in our walk with our God. A healing touch is also given at the time
of our Salvation experience, those touches of healing are fewer,
as is spiritual growth if we make the purposedful choice; to sit
back with our Salvation: and do nothing with it?
Reading Gods word, building ones faith; then putting your faith
into action,draws you closer to your God.Whenever you give
your love to others out of obedience to God’s Spirit,
eventually your human love will change into Gods Agape love.
You won’t know when this change comes about,
but:the transition to Agape love from your home grown stuff,
will hit you like a ton of bricks once you realize Jesus in you
is urging you to be obedient in what you are doing at that moment.
There will be many who enter-into heaven who will not be
well versed in Obedience to God by their faith in trust and love.
So many times I have heard from well-meaning christians,
I’m only one person ,what can I do.In church,
out there in the workplace,on the street,
I have seen many who needed
a hug, a smile, a handshake, requireing that they need
confirmation that they are okey,
and doing great.
Christian don’t ask what can I do, gather up your faith
and put it into action, help someone, when you hear that a
brother or sister is hurting say with no food,or need
help in some way you could make a difference by your actions,
then go buy some groceries. Go sit and talk with them,
surely they would welcome someone who cared enough to come to
them and just listen.
Prayer is always needed in situations where hopelessness seems the
order of the day.Every time Jesus is glorified,
the Holy Spirit makes things happen.
In order to go deeper with your God, you have to give up more
of the selfishness in you.
Then and only then the Spirit of God can place
more of the Son of God within you,so in
essence,being filled with Jesus by getting rid of your
selfishness(Sin) is the quickest way to help with your change
from holding onto the worldly ways,and growing in Gods ways.
With man all things are impossible, with God all things are possible.
wanting more of your God,takes sacrafice, at the least you will have
to give up some of your selfishness.
Oh!it is a battle in this process,
for it takes change deeply rooted for years & elimination
of those worldly ways;to bring about understanding and putting
into action your faith and working Gods ways: You don’t do it alone,
Jesus has come into you;lives within:the more you understand God
is working His plan for you,and whatever happens in that tribulation
He has made a way of escape for you that you know nothing about yet,
only by faith will you overcome your tribulation,
giving all glory to Him.
